404 Pages on Azure

If you want a 404 missing page to appear on an Azure Web App website, create a web.config file as per this page

Here is the text I have in that file.  I created a page in Help and Manual and added it as a baggage file

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<configuration>

   <system.webServer>

       <httpErrors errorMode="Custom" defaultResponseMode="ExecuteURL">

           <remove statusCode="404" subStatusCode="-1" />

           <error statusCode="404" path="/404.htm" responseMode="ExecuteURL" />

       </httpErrors>

   </system.webServer>

</configuration>
